We were honored to know Sr.Jean and to have her in our lives; to our home and for me, to stay with her at the convent at OLP when I was back in town, to visit her at the Villa; to relocate Sr. Jean from convent to convent in NJ. We never let Sr Jean know that we did not rely on her verbal driving directions and she was always grateful when she got us there without getting lost. To have many dinners, scones and cookies. I loved her deeply and feel happier now that Sr.Jean is with my Mom in Heaven. God Bless you and your family for having shared her with us. You will be in my daily prayers. Much love.

So sorry for your loss. Having lost a sibling, we know how devastating it can be. Jean was one of those rare spirits who was full of love and joy. Our family spend many unforgettable times with her and loved her like she was one of our own. God Bless you and your family and am sure Jean will be shielding all of you with her giant angel wings.

God speed Jean. You have earned your place in heaven a thousand times over. Your mansion awaits dear angel. Heaven will be a sunnier, happier, funnier place with you there. The stars will shine a bit more brightly and your laughter will whistle through the pines. May you guide and guard as all as we complete our journeys with you in our hearts. You will be missed. Love you forever dear crazy lady. Until we can hug again.......xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

PS: I met you when I was 13. Now 50 years later I find it so hard to say goodbye, so I won't. Later......

I don't know why ….but Jean just made us happy.
She just made every room she walked into...every classroom that she taught in
every person that she encountered
every child in the classroom happy
She was gifted with the gift of joy without a doubt.

Joy was her middle name.
she was born on April 12 which was Easter that year.
That is why she was named Regina...Regina Caeli…so Jean told me…

She was Easter Joy... Easter Joy is not the absence of suffering but the presence of God. That is the joy that JEAN was and is…Easter Joy…not a poly Anna childish joy. But a joy founded on love but not without sacrifice and struggle.

She is a joy that gave us all the glimpse of the humor of God!
These last days at the Villa many times people pass the room and said, "I don't know why but she just made me happy .

Jean gave flesh to the words of St. Paul where he says
I thank my God for you every time I think of you
and every time I pray for you I pray with Joy.
