First impressions are lasting impressions. I first met John as a student at the police academy in 1960 and knew right away that he was a nice man; during all my years in the department that thought never changed. Matthew J. Veasey (ret. Captain PPD)

My wife and I are saddened to learn of John's passing. John was one of the most knowledgeable and caring persons that I have ever had the privilege of working for or with. I'm sure that he is at peace in a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and his family.
