Just found out today of the passing of my Uncle Jimmy. I was so hoping to hear back from him after sending him a Christmas card. My Uncle Jimmy was an awesome man. I wanted him to know that I have been clean and sober since Oct.12th, 2012. Now I know that he's with my dad his brother John. I love you Uncle Jimmy. I know you are at peace. Loving you always, love, Shannon.

Very well written obituary - "tough and loving" and that sense of humor. When he was not feeling himself, that's when the anonymous "Ed G" would be referenced. He would get mad when other folks could not "get it," but not mad at the person. He would say he would lovingly put a hand on the coffin and whisper that they just did not have enough time. Jim liked analyzing the numbers and knew he was lucky to beat the odds. Jim served his country and countless people showing them the way. All I can think is to pass on what Jim so freely gave to others taking assurance that there is "Peace in the Valley" for Jimmy.

I am saddened to hear about Jimmy leaving this world. He is hanging out with Jimmy B and Larry M now. I only knew him for a short time but he helped me a lot in my early sobriety and always had something good to say whenever I saw him.
