Dear Tommy,
I am very saddened and in disbelief that Delia is gone. I know that I haven't kept in contact with my cousins as much as I would have liked. However, I cherish my many childhood memories with all three of you. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Your cousin,
Beth

Delia would always say to me, "Linda make sure that your department follow the rules and condut itself with fairness". I will miss her straight forward advise and her one liners to lighten the heavy task of insuring honesty and integrity in city government. My condolences to her family and may she rest in peace.

Delia will be truly missed. You could always count on her to give you the correct answers when called upon and could rattle off information from the top of her head without even looking at the labor contracts. She was a wealth of information. I have worked with and known Delia for a long time. in my capacity as a HR manager at the Sheriff's Office. She was an all around great lady. I will miss you. Now that you have your wings, soar like an eagle, and I shall see you at heaven's gate. God Bless the Family....our memories will live in as Delia will in our hearts and minds.

We are so saddened and sorry to hear the news that Delia passed away. She was a great woman. I saw her about 3 years ago when my mum (Mary Fitzgerald) was over visiting us and we had just moved to Philadelphia. It was a pity that we didn't get to see her again. May she rest in peace.

Delia was such an instrumental part of who I am today. I don't have enough words to express what she meant to me and how she influenced my life. I will forever value all of the things she shared with me as I was growing up...music, Shakespeare, movie star crushes, sports...and all things Irish. She was a strong, passionate woman who had an amazing laugh. My condolences to her friends and family. Delia, you are missed.

I met Delia about 38 years ago. She came to our Halloween Party with her mother. She was dressed as a troubadour - so prophetic! Soon after, she moved into our home and joined the Newman Center Music Group on the Penn Campus. She was an incredible musician: playing the flute, the guitar and the piano and singing. I finally convinced her to take the City Civil Service exam and she joined City Government, where she has had a full career. We traveled to Ireland with my husband and sister and sang "The Joining of the Waters" in the Vale of Avoca. She was my son's godmother and a great friend. We miss her terribly.

I met Delia almost 16 years ago. She greeted me with warmth and genuine kindness then and she continued to greet me with the same gracious demeanor 16 years later. Delia will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her absence at One Parkway has already left a sense of emptiness in our halls. To the family, you have my deepest sympathy and you are all in my prayers.

Tom and Jessica,
I am very sorry for your loss. Delia was a good friend to me and a great resource in our work. Her wry sense of humor served us in good stead in many cases, and her dedication to the City was matched only by her hard work to achieve the best result for everyone. She is greatly missed.
