William Nace Obituary

William J. Nace (Bill), formerly of Roxborough and Cape May, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 4, with his loving wife Kathy and his daughters at his side.

Born to the late Augustine J. Nace, Sr. and Catherine (Casey) Nace, Bill was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses: Augustine J. and Helene Nace, Edward F. and Patricia Nace, and Elizabeth J. and Kurt Fox.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of almost 60 years Kathleen (Sissy) Nace (née Serbin); his adoring daughters Sister Kathleen Nace, SSJ and Frances V. Littlewood (Robert G.); his cherished grandchildren: Bernadette and Dave Auth, Robert Littlewood and Nicole DiStefano, Christopher and Marissa Littlewood, and Anthony Littlewood; and his precious great-grandchildren: Cody, Addie, Haven, and Olivia.

Born and raised on Delmar Street, Bill attended Holy Family Catholic School and Roman Catholic High School. A graduate of the Class of 1965, he wore his purple and gold frequently and with great pride. Bill enjoyed a long and successful career in Production Management at Honeywell Inc. in Flourtown and VIZ Manufacturing in Germantown. Eventually he came to work for and with his wife Kathy, at Kathleen's, a boutique ice cream parlor and restaurant in Manayunk.

Bill and Kathy eventually "retired" to Cape May NJ where they began their careers in real estate, forming many lasting friendships along the way. A true Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Bill never missed a chance to cheer on his Eagles and Phillies. Described by all who knew him as a true gentleman, Bill will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his deep faith, and his warm laugh. Ask anyone and they'll tell you “He’s such a nice guy”.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Monday at Holy Family Church, Manayunk beginning at 10 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment in Westminster Cemetery.
