Valerie (Bellinger) Foy

Valerie Foy of Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, she was 65 years old.
Valerie was born on November 14, 1958, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughterof Dewey and Bettie Lee Bellinger. Valerie was raised in Philadelphia, PA and she attended college at Cheyney  State College. While at Cheyne, she met Rodney Foy, who she would later marry and raise their 2 children together in Neptune, New Jersey.
Valerie is a retired educator. She lovingly served children at Bradley Elementary for 20+ years in Asbury Park, New Jersey before she retired in 2017. She adored working with children and cherished her time as a teacher.
Valerie is predeceased by her husband Rodney Foy, who died from cancer in 2022. Valerie leaves behind her 2 children – Rodney L. Foy of Philadelphia, PA and Taryn L. Foy of Lancaster, PA. She will be dearly missed by children, sisters, nieces, nephews and her grand dog, Charles.
The passing of Valerie was unexpected and due to consecutive heart attacks, which ultimately ended her life at the tender age of 65. She was thriving through grieving her husband and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grand dog.
Memorial services are private and will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 for close family and friends. Valerie’s favorite color was purple, and she also loved butterflies.
To honor her memory, the family encourages you to wear this color and think of her the next time you see a butterfly pass by.
