Theresa M. Kucinski (nee Falcone), 77, of Endicott, New York (native of Manayunk), passed away September 19, 2020, with her children Danielle Kucinski, Chuck Kucinski, and Tara (Kucinski) Edwards by her side.
Born on January 7th, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Theresa was the first child of the late Anne and Natale Falcone. She graduated from Roxborough High School in 1960, and while working as a bookkeeper at Central Penn National Bank, met the love of her life, her late husband Chuck, who after knowing for years finally worked up the courage to ask her out in a supermarket - where she loved to shop endlessly to find just the right ingredients to make the best food you ever tasted. The two created a wonderfully full life for themselves and their children which carried them from Philly to Virginia, then on to Michigan and finally Endicott, where they settled and lived for nearly 40 years. Our Mom loved her family and friends, anything turquoise, all kinds of jewelry, cheesecake, her silver and fine chinaware, pinochle death matches, the occasional escapism through contemporary romance novels, music boxes, and a sincere desire to make you feel welcome (and your stomach full) no matter who you were or how long you were staying.
While Mom leaves us with so many wonderful memories, funny stories and unfortunate sadness, our hearts are comforted that she has been reunited in eternal life with her loving husband of 49 years, Chuck. Her beautiful life was witnessed and is survived by her children, sisters Angela (nee Falcone) Boyce and Gemma (nee Falcone) Menardi, Brother-in-law Bill, Sons-in-law Scott and David, Daughter-in-law Fern, eight adoring grandchildren (Benjamin, Jared, Lucas, Joey, Jacob, Grace, Cole, and Peyton), bonus children Tez, Tim, and Karen, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and her lifelong friends Mary (Tule) and Joann (Whalen).
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (815 East Cathedral Rd.) in Philadelphia followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am with burial at Westminster Cemetery (701 Belmont Avenue) in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
If you are sending plants, Mom would appreciate them being dead already to avoid their eventual and most certain demise at her hands… In lieu of flowers however, and Mom loved her carnations, the family prefers that people make donations in her name in support of Angiosarcoma awareness and research, via either The Angiosarcoma Project (www.cureasc.org) or her favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org).
