It is with heavy hears that we announce the passing of Ronald James Palasky, Sr., age 77, on February 18, 2025.
Ron was born in Coaldale, Pa on April 12, 1947 and lived in Belmont Hills, Pa. Ron leaves behind his beloved wife Cheryl of 55 years, his children, Ron, Jr. (Johannah), Mike (Heather), and Tracey (Gene). Ron was also a proud grandfather to AJ, Sasha, James, Connell, Savannah, and Alek. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Matilda (nee Martin), as well as his brother, David.
Affectionately known by many names- Pop, Poppy, Camper Joe, or Wrecker Ron. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and proud veteran, lived a life of dedication, service, and love for his family and community. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He especially loved going down the shore where he created countless memories.
Ron will be remembered for his unwavering dedication and his service to his country, where he was enlisted in the United States Army, completing two tours in Vietnam. He proudly served his community by volunteering with the Belmont Hills Fire Company. He was also a member of Gladwyne VFW and Amvets of Lansford, Pa. Ron was retired from Siemens where he worked for 42 years.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May Ron's memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
Family and friends are invited to greet Ron's family on March 28, 2025 at Koller Funeral Home, located at 6835 Ridge Ave. Roxborough beginning 10 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment in Westminster Cemetery.
