Phyllis D. Lafferty, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 79.
Phyllis was devoted to her family and is survived by her cherished son, Jeffrey Lafferty and his wife Dana, as well as her adored grandchildren, Dylan Lafferty, and Angelo and Gabriel Rosley. She was especially proud to be a great-grandmother to Giovanni Lafferty. Phyllis was a loving daughter to her late father, William Fahringer, and late mother, Gertrude Fahringer. She held dear the memories of her late husband, John Lafferty, and her beloved son, John Jr. close to her heart.
Phyllis was not only a nurturing family member but also a dedicated professional in the field of education. She served as a teacher's assistant for the School District of Philadelphia at Dobson Elementary, touching the lives of countless children with her warmth, patience, and genuine love for teaching.
She is remembered fondly by her siblings, including Carol Haugh (the late Jerry), Trudy Dutkiewicz (the late Tony), and William Fahringer, along with her late sister, Nancy Colucci (Frank), and brothers Walter (Mary Ellen), Charles (the late Barb), James, and Robert (Anne) Fahringer. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, who were fortunate to share in her kindness and laughter.
Phyllis had a special bond with her beloved dog Chewy, who brought much joy to her life.
May her memory continue to inspire love and compassion in all who knew her. Phyllis will forever remain in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to guide us as we cherish each moment and memory shared with her.
