Paul Kern

Paul J. Kern, 64, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2020. The beloved husband of Dianne Kern (nee Wyborski). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Paul was a devoted father to his three children, Liza (Jimmy), Michele, and Matthew (Courtney). Loving Pop of Nicholas, Natalia, Alayna, Little Jimmy, Gina Maire, Michael, Gracie Maire, Paul, Christopher and Great Grandpop to Daisy. Brother of Fred Kern, Joan Loftus, Dennis Kern, Donna MacDonald, Nancy Mealey, Larry Kern, Maureen Kern, Karen Winter, Michael Kern and Kathleen Leposki. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Regina Wyborski. He will be sadly miss by many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews.   Preceded in death by His parents Fredrick & Matilda Kern, father-in-law Matthew Wyborski, sister Pat Vogel and brothers Henry and Gregory Kern.

Paul was born and raised in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. He married his teenage love Dianne and was married for 46 years. He was an extremely hard worker and devoted his time to his kids and grandkids. He coached all three of his kids in softball and baseball. With the love for baseball he later became President of the Ivy Ridge Panthers Association for many years. Paul’s favorite day of the week was Eagle's Sunday accompanied by a home cook meal. Everyone knew Paul to have a smile on his face and be willing to lend a helping hand.  He will be greatly missed. 

Relatives and friends are invited a Viewing at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 2 at Holy Family Church, 234 Hermitage Street, Philadelphia. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Interment is private.
