Patricia A. (McGowan) Wilson

Patricia A. Wilson (McGowan) passed away January 1, 2025, age 83. Wife to the late
Henry F. Wilson. Mother of Monica Bianco (Phil). Mimi to Matthew and Sarah Bianco.
Daughter of the late Gordon and Rosemary McGowan (Valaro). Sister to the late
Gordon H. McGowan (late Betty Ann). Pat was blessed with brothers and sisters in law,
cousins, many nieces and nephews, friends, and family.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pat called the city home the majority of her life. After
graduating from Roxborough High School she began her career in banking. She
weathered the changes in banking, finally retiring and giving up her train ride into town,
which she did not miss. During Monica's school years, she volunteered for RCCS and
made lasting friendships with her fellow moms. In her retirement Pat enjoyed working
part time for Philadelphia University. Her true happiness in life came from caring for her
grandchildren. Being their Mimi was her greatest and most profound joy.
Married to Henry for over 54 years they built a simple life that gave them much
happiness together. Pat was a gentle and quiet soul, one who loved her family and
enjoyed her time with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 18th at
Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Visitation with the family
will be begin at 10:00 am, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment is
private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to Pilgrim Church.
