Patricia Ann (Lawhon) Serbin

Patricia Ann Serbin of Roxborough, Philadelphia, PA passed on August 8, 2025 in Pennsylvania comforted by her lifelong Christian faith. She was born in 1931 in Timmonsville, South Carolina, the youngest daughter of Lela Pearce Lawhon and Lawrence Lawhon, as well as her sister, Betty Brooks, and brothers Charles Elwin and Lawrence Pete, all who preceded her in death. She was married to the late Frank Serbin and is survived by her three daughters, Diane (Robert) Hopkins, Joanne (George) Losse and Carol (Charles) Houck, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Serbin Stover (Jillian), Chelsea Serbin Houck Walmsley (David), Chad Serbin Houck and Chase Serbin Houck (Samantha). Patricia moved to Philadelphia as a child and loved visiting South Carolina and the Jersey shore throughout her life.

She was a very talented interior decorator and passionate gardener. She taught ceramics and terrarium classes at the Roxborough YMCA and was a furniture sales associate at Strawbridge and Clothier and JC Penny. She was famous for her delicious family holiday dinners and southern pound cake recipe that she carried down from her grandmother.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Friday at Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia beginning at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in memory of Patricia Serbin at the Roxborough YMCA or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
