Patricia Oschmann
Sunrise April 10,1939 Sunset February 4,2025
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Patricia Grady Oschmann announces her passing away on February 4, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Louis Oschmann and many adoring relatives and friends.
She was born on April 10, 1939 and in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Roxborough, grew up there and spent most of her life there. She died about 10 am on February 4, 2025 while lying in bed in an emergency area bedroom in Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia. She was suffering from a deadly infection which is called Sepsis which is defined as a group of pathogenic organisms in the blood or tissues of a human person.
Even though she had no children, she circulated well with friends and neighbors who did, and also many other folks.
She had a vigorous working career, working for many years with the local FBI office and the US Naval Shipyard in Central Philadelphia. All her schooling was in St. John the Baptist Catholic schools in Manayunk, and was an active member of the St. John's Church as an adult.
She was immobilized for several years because she could barely walk, and was forced to move out of her bedroom on the 2nd floor of her home. She started sleeping in her living room on the first floor of her house, which had no stairways up or down. She did that until she had a serious painful fall in early January 2025 and could not stand up. She called 911 and was taken to the emergency room at Roxborough Hospital, until they sent her to a local rehab unit named Meadow View Rehab Center in Upper Roxbourgh, She remained there for almost 2 months until she had a serious sepsis attack near the end of January. Then she was sent to Chestnut Hill hospital. She was unconscious there in the Emergency area in the bed for a week, and then died on February 4 about 10 am.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, beginning at 10 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
