On Thursday February 23, 2023, Nino Scarci, beloved husband of the late Olga, passed away at the age of 87. Nino will forever be remembered by his children Tina (Michael), Lisa, Nino and Dina (Toni). He was a devoted grandfather to Christina (Andy), Valerie (Jeff), Carla, Erica, Natalie (Ethan) and Grace as well as Gemma, his great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Nino was born to the late Ettore and Rosamaria Scarci in Pizzoferrato, Italy. At the age of 18, he boarded a boat headed for Philadelphia, PA in search of the opportunity for a better life. Shortly after he arrived, he met Olga who would become his wife in July of 1962. Together they built a welcoming and loving home where family and friends gathered around the table for Sunday Dinners, barbecues, birthdays and holidays. These gatherings were filled with lots of food, love, laughter and plenty of wine in clinking glasses with wishes of "Salud" and "Cent'An."
Nino was a tailor by trade and known as the neighborhood tailor. It was not unusual to see someone being measured and "chalked" in the middle of our dining room. The sound of his sewing machine, especially late at night, is stitched into the fabric of our childhood. Nino was a dedicated sports fan, a jack of all trades and an all around enjoyable guy. But most of all he was our Dad.

So, here's to a life well lived! Arrivederci, Dad, We love you.
