Michael B. Schama

Michael B. Schama, born on February 27, 1959, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on January 9, 2026.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters, Jennifer Schama and Emily Davies (Nicholas), as well as his first grandchild, Sophia, who is on the way. Michael will also be missed by his sisters, Nancy Duprey (Ed), Michelle Wolicki (Tom), and Diane Ratay (the late Tom) and his lifelong friend John Mallen. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Michael and Eleanor Schama and his brother, Chet Gulczynski.

Michael was a proud letter carrier in the Manayunk area, where he grew up and built many cherished memories. He loved spending time with family, taking trips to the beach, and cheering on his favorite teams-the Eagles and the Phillies.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Michael's life at a memorial service on January 17, 2026, at Koller Funeral Home. Family will begin receiving guests at 10:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:30 AM. Michael will be lovingly remembered, and his spirit will continue to live on in those he touched.
