Mary Ann R. (Fantacone) Shaw

Mary Ann R. Shaw (nee Fantacone) of Roxborough passed away on March 15, 2025 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Fantacone and the loving wife of the late Harry L. Shaw, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother Peter J. Fantacone and sister-in-law Eva. She is survived by her devoted sister Rita Schultz (Emil) and by her six adoring nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and great nephews. She appreciated the love, care, and friendship given to her by Gloria and Violet.

Mary Ann was a proud employee of the Budd Company for 38 years. She was a 1949 graduate of John W. Hallahan High School. Throughout her life, Mary Ann enjoyed many parties and wonderful celebrations with her beloved family and friends. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Senior Group where she spent many hours with her friends, taking trips to various Casinos and playing her favorite game of Bingo. She enjoyed her summer days at Mermaid Lake Swim Club and visiting the Jersey Shore, especially Wildwood. Throughout her life, Mary Ann had many Scottie dogs which she and her late husband Harry loved and adored.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her love of life and family and for her generous and kind ways that consistently showed others how much she cared.  She will be missed dearly by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her and loving her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Saturday, March 22, 2025 beginning at 9:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Road, Phila. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment in Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Memorial Fund or the Philadelphia SPCA.
