Mary R. (Boschetti) Stranieri

Mary Rose Stranieri, Age 101, of Philadelphia, passed away on December 31, 2023, of natural causes, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was born on September 22, 1922, to Rosario and Julia Boschetti, (nee Fantacone) in Manayunk, Pa. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic Stranieri and devoted mother to Frank Stranieri, Joseph Stranieri, Maria Michener and Angela Hence. Mother-in-law to Michael Michener, Charles Hence and Daria DiPasquale. Mary has one surviving sister, Eleanor Giesheimer (Robert - deceased) of Holland, and preceded in death by her siblings and in-laws - Nicholas, Christine, Joseph, Peter (Florence), Rosario (Barbara). Also survived by her Grandchildren - Christine Hence, Thomas Hence, Angel Stranieri, Stephanie Stranieri, Michelle Hence Speizer, (Ben), Francesco Stranieri, (Francesca), Casey Lee Flood, Anthony Smith and Lisa Boccia; Great Grandchild, Wesley H. Speizer. Her sisters-in-laws: Margaret Conte and Joan Branci, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary, for the past 2 1/2 years, has lived at Phoebe Richland Nursing Care, we would like to thank the caregivers who did an amazing job of ensuring her quality of life and allowing her to enjoy her last few years.

Mary's life was a life so fully lived. She truly loved her family and friends, always caring for others, while smiling her special smile.

The funeral service will be on Monday January 8th at Koller Funeral Home 6835 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128 viewing 6-8pm. On Tuesday January 9th, service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 819 Cathedral Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19128, viewing 9:00 to 10:30, Mass at 10:30. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150.
