Marie E. (Bellitta) Schmeltzer

Marie E. Schmeltzer, July 21, 2024, Age 80. Wife of the late Samuel Schmeltzer, Sr. Mother of Tamara Schmeltzer (Benjamin Smith) and the late Samuel "Sonny" Schmeltzer, Jr. Grandmother of Ruthanne Schmeltzer, Heather Smith-Lucas (William) and Sam Schmeltzer (Amanda). Great-grandmother of Sammy Schmeltzer, Benjamin DeLomba and Phoenix Lucas. Daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Bellitta. Sister of Diane Bellitta and John Bellitta (Laura). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Marie achieved a Masters Degree and taught for over 45 years. She taught for the School District of Philadelphia, Shallcross Disciplinary and Truant School, and Martin Luther Silver Springs in Plymouth Meeting. Her area of expertise was special education. She also taught CCD at Epiphany of our Lord Church for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's name to American Heart Association.
