Margaret Anne Glassmire

Margaret A. Glassmire, age 66, on June 18th, 2021. Margaret was a lifelong resident of the Roxborough/Manayunk area. Margaret was the wife of Edward Joseph Glassmire and the mother of Desiree Perez (Daniel), Brandy Intindolo, John Intindolo II (Krista), and Edward J Glassmire II (Stephanie). Margaret is also survived by her five grandchildren, Rashay McRae, George Burgess III, Daniel Perez II, Nash Intindolo and Grayson Ladislaw. She is also survived by her sister, Marti Chambers, her nieces, Wendi Chambers Neill (Chris) and Amy Hujack. She was preceded in death by her mother, Halina Siembora, her father, Joseph Siembora, and her brother, Richard Siembora. 
 
In addition to being a full-time wife, mother, and grandmom, Margaret was a retired beautician at Boscov's department store, and previously in the 1990's, a manager of a West Coast video store that fueled her love of movies and television. She enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, New Jersey with her family and in Atlantic City, New Jersey with her husband where she cultivated her seashell collection. She enjoyed making Halloween costumes for herself and the entire neighborhood. She was also an avid collector of Barbie dolls and loved decorating her home during Christmas time.
 
Margaret had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh so infectious you couldn't help but join in. If you wanted an honest opinion, she would tell you how it is. She was always glad to see a friend and exchange stories. Everyone in her life has a Margaret story they love to tell, and those stories live on forever. Speaking of stories, Mom it's time to go, they need this table.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at 9:30am on Friday June 25th at St Josaphat Church, Manayunk at 124 Cotton St, Philadelphia, PA 19127.  Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment is private.
