Laura Anne Herman (nee Kovich) passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the comfort of her own home. Laura was 69 years old.
Born in Coaldale, PA, Laura was the daughter of Mildred and the late Martin Kovich. She was the beloved wife of Keith Herman who together shared 51 years of marriage. Laura and Keith raised their two daughters, Lori and Lisa, in Philadelphia. Together they started their HVAC business in 1991, where Laura developed many long- lasting friendships as she was adored by all.
Laura was very religious and was the first to light a candle or pray the rosary for anyone in need. She was an avid animal lover and although never owning a dog as an adult, always had a pocket full of treats for everyone’s pups. Her generosity knew no bounds and she often supported different charities and foundations.
Laura enjoyed watching football and seeing the Eagles finally win a Super Bowl. She absolutely loved her Acrostics and crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and reading Stephen King novels. Camping with her family and sitting all night around a campfire was a highlight for Laura. She was a master at keeping a good campfire going and was always the last one standing well into the night.
In addition to her husband Keith, Laura is survived by her two loving daughters Lori (Steve Molieri) and Lisa (Chris O’Connor), seven grandchildren: Michael, Daniel, Brendan, Alexander, Kaylie, Elisabeth, and Allisa; two brothers Martin ‘Bud’ Kovich (Cindy) and Dave, a sister Val, and brothers and sisters-in-law Kevin (Margie), Jayne (Dennis), Kenny, and Karl (Kathy), as well as her mother Mildred Kovich, her aunt Dorothy Lazar, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Laura was loved and will be missed by many until we meet again in Heaven.
Due to the pandemic, a mass celebrating Laura’s life will be announced at a later date.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
