Kathleen A. Shirley, a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on August 30, 1968, in Philadelphia, PA, Kathleen was known for her unwavering love of family.
Kathleen was the beloved partner of James Polk. As a dedicated mother, she raised her children with compassion and care, leaving a profound impact on their lives. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Shirley, and her sons, Roy Shirley (Rachel Kriebel) and Robert Shirley (Ennovy Milian). She also adored her grandchildren, Cadence and Raegan Shirley-Tomlinson, and was thrilled at the recent arrival of her grandson, Lennox Shirley.
Born to the late Joseph Morris and Florence (nee Olzsewski) Ball (Richard), Kathleen was a loving daughter and sister. She shared a special bond with her sister, Caroline Webb (Martin), reflecting the values of love and support that she cherished throughout her life. Kathleen was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She made her presence known in every room she entered, unapologetically embracing her true self. In her leisurely moments, Kathleen enjoyed immersing herself in the world of true crime television, often finding herself piecing together clues alongside her favorite shows. Her infectious enthusiasm for solving mysteries is just one of the many ways she engaged with life, despite facing health challenges that she did not let define her.
