Celebrating the Life of Joseph Farber
Joseph Farber, a deeply beloved father, grandfather, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 83. Joe lived a life rich in passion, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to the people-and animals-he held dear.
He is now reunited with his parents, Morris and Adeline Farber, his siblings Ralph and Josette Farber, and his cherished nephews Gregory Bria and Jimmy Tepper, who went before him.
Joe's legacy of love lives on through his significant other, Elaine Jones, and his adoring sons, Jonathan Farber and Robert Philkill. He was the incredibly proud and joyful grandfather to Shane, Samantha, Charlotte, and Austin, each of whom brought immense light into his life. His warm spirit will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Joan Tepper and Ann Bria, along with his nieces and nephews, Cindy Rothman, Kimberly Wheeler, Raymond Bria, and Michael Tepper, as well as a community of friends who felt like family.
To know Joe was to know a man with a genuine zest for life. He was an avid collector who found beauty and history in the world around him. An active and familiar face in his community, Joe loved his regular workouts at the YMCA, where his bright energy and easy conversation sparked friendships that lasted a lifetime. But perhaps nothing captured Joe's gentle, loyal soul quite like his bond with his dog, Duchess. As his constant companion for many years, Duchess was a testament to Joe's kind-hearted nature and capacity for unconditional love.
Joe's adventurous heart, easy warmth, and steadfast loyalty will be deeply missed, but the beautiful memories he created will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
