It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John V. House , father, grandfather, brother and friend, who departed this life on February 12, 2026, at the age of 69.
John was born on February 28, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent his life dedicated to working for his family. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Perillo and son, John House Jr. John was the proud grandfather of Michael Jr. and Logan. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah, and his son, Michael House. He raised his family with his former wife and friend, Barbara Miller, and held dear the moments spent with his loved ones.
John's 28-year career as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry was a testament to his strong work ethic. He was a hardworking blue-collar American who was determined to provide for his family and set an example of persistence for his children. After retiring, he found fulfillment working as a driver for Wissahickon Ambulance, a role in which he took immense pride.
John enjoyed the simple things in life, often found fishing, playing cards, planting tomatoes or losing himself in classic Westerns, particularly those featuring his favorite actor, John Wayne. He had a special fondness for vintage television shows, including Adam 12 and MASH, which brought him joy and nostalgia.
A Viewing will begin at 9:30 AM at Koller Funeral Home on Friday, February 20th. A Funeral Service to honor John's life will be held at 11:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory. John's spirit is now at home. May he rest in peace.John's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
