John J. Banicki

John J. Banicki passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 84. Husband of Leona Banicki (nee Spencer). Father of John "Jack" Banicki, Jr. (Robin), Janet Stead (Paul), Patrick Banicki, Colleen Miller (John), and the late Joseph Banicki. Grandfather of Matthew Stead (Jessica), Jake Banicki, Leigh Ann Adams (Shannon), Patrick Banicki, Spencer Banicki, Scott Palmer, Josh and Jordan Banicki, Alexis Banicki, Aiden, Ryan, and Dylan Miller, and his grand dog, Max. Great grandfather of 3. Son of the late Edward and Catherine Banicki. Brother of Edmund and James "Jimmy" Banicki and the late Joan DiTullio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandkids. He was often seen in a corner telling them jokes or singing silly songs that erupted in laughter. He loved hunting and fishing and taking care of his prized fish pond. He loved to find a bargain and would spend Saturdays shopping yard sales. He would often try to get his youngest daughter Colleen to bring her French bull dog Max down for overnight stays. There was never a dance floor that you wouldn't see him on doing his favorite rendition of "Walk like an Egyptian". John was also quite the prankster and loved a good belly laugh. What more can we say, Our hearts are broken and his absence will forever be felt by all that knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet John's family on Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Helena's Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
