Joanne Cofoni Obituary

Joanne Elizabeth Cofoni passed away on April 29, 2022 at the age of 67, in her hometown of Philadelphia. Joanne fought a strong-willed battle with cancer, an illness which she endured for four and a half years, before her life ended at home with family as she had wished.

Joanne was born on July 13, 1954 to Eugene and Dorothy Miller. Being the oldest daughter of eight children, she took great care of her sibilings. She was widowed in 2011, after 34 years of marriage to Louis Walter Cofoni. Joanne and Louis had three children: Louis Jr., Michael and James, as well as one grandson Carter. Coming from a large family, Joanne also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne became an office manager when her children were grown. Before her career, she was known for her homemaking skills. She kept her home impeccably clean and always decorated for holidays. Joanne crocheted beautiful blankets and cozies, and her festive cakes and cookies were well loved by family and friends.

Joanne loved her family very much, and she certainly considered her pets to be a part of the family. She was always there to help, and may God help anyone who hurt the ones she loved.

Joanne wished to be cremated without any service or ceremony. She regularly donated to charities that feed the hungry, so donations to such charities can be made in lieu of flowers.
