James T. Greco, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on October 23, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, James lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family and friends.
James, affectionately known as Jimmy, was the cherished son of James T. Greco and Claire J. Greco (Betsch). He was born and raised in the area and attended Dobson, eventually graduating from Roxborough High School. He began a long and fulfilling career in auto parts manufacturing at Budd Company. Starting at the young age of 16, he dedicated 31 years to his work, eventually serving as a foreman before retiring in 1996.
Jimmy's life was enriched by his loving wife, Ellen Greco, with whom he shared countless joyful moments. Together, they created a nurturing home for their daughters, Tracy McNally (David) and Tiffany Patete (Angelo). He was immensely proud of his family, finding immense joy in the company of his granddaughters, Nicolette (Michael or Cal) and Kaylin (Josh), and great-grandson, Leonardo (Leo).
A man of many passions, Jimmy loved to dance and spent many weekends enjoying the beach with family and friends. He had a keen interest in horse racing and was an avid sports enthusiast. His vibrant spirit and laughter brought warmth to everyone around him.
Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife, Ellen; his loving daughters, Tracy and Tiffany; his granddaughters, Nicolette and Kaylin; his great-grandson, Leonardo; and many cousins, extended family, and close friends who will forever cherish his memory.
