James J. Cannon

James 'Jimmy' Cannon, a lifelong resident of Roxborough, son of Charles and Rose (née Drennan), passed away on July 19, 2023 following a short illness. Jimmy was born on May 14, 1944 and was predeceased by his loving wife Josie (née Ehly), daughter Roseann Cannon, and son James 'Jimmy' Cannon Jr. Jimmy is survived by his son Daniel 'Danny' Cannon and grandson James 'Jimmy' Cannon of Wildwood, NJ. Following his retirement as a proud Shop Steward in Roofers Union Local #30, Jimmy became the long-time proprietor of "Jimmy's Dogs", a hot dog cart located at 2nd and JFK in North Wildwood, N.J. Jimmy 'The Hot Dog Man' had an entertaining line for each and every customer; young and old left for the beach with a smile and a quality hot dog. As fate would have it, Jimmy passed away on 'National Hot Dog Day.' Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PAon Monday July 24th at 10 am, followed by services at 11 am.
