Francis J. Prisco

Francis J. Prisco, affectionately known as "Frankie," passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on June 2, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA, Frankie was a cherished member of the Manayunk community, where he cultivated deep connections and formed lasting memories.

Frankie is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Theresa (nee Turella). He is survived by his beloved siblings, Antoinette, Lawrence and Joseph. He leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and joy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives he touched profoundly.

A true neighborhood legend, Frankie was often referred to as the unofficial mayor of Manayunk. You could frequently find him walking the hills with his trademark coffee in hand, accompanied by a basketball, a transistor radio, or even a stuffed animal. His infectious spirit lit up every corner he visited, especially during the holidays when he delighted in donning his light-up glasses, festive headbands, and glowing necklaces, always bringing smiles to passersby.

As we remember Frankie, we reflect on the vibrant memory of a person who embodied the heart and soul of Manayunk. He embraced life with enthusiasm, and his warmth will be missed by all who knew him. Although Manayunk will not be the same without him, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of the community he cherished.

In honor of Frankie's life, funeral services and ceremonies will be held at Saint John the Baptist Church, Manayunk. His Viewing will begin at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his incredible spirit and memory. Interment following his Funeral is in Westminster Cemetery.
