Francis W. Kling, a man of unwavering faith and boundless adventure, will always be remembered for his spirit and kindness. He passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 89. Frank was the devoted husband of Joseph Kennedy and the cherished son of the late William and Florence Kling. He is also survived by his brother Jack Kling. He is preceded in death by his sister, Joan Kling.
Frank was a long-time parishioner of Saint John the Evangelist, a place where his deep faith flourished alongside his commitment to charity and community. Life was never dull for Frank; he was an adventurous soul who loved riding his motorcycle, sailing on windjammers, and embarking on thrilling white water rafting trips. His wanderlust took him around the world, from the wonders of China and Israel to the charm of France, Ireland, England, Italy, the Caribbean Islands, the Netherlands, and Mexico.
Frank took delight in playing softball, well into his eighth decade with a passion that never dimmed. A skilled and dependable pitcher, he was often called upon to take the mound when his team needed him most. His dedication, talent, and joy for the sport were an inspiration to everyone, including his brother, who had the privilege of playing beside him.
Above all, Frank was fiercely devoted to his husband Joseph and held a deep love for his family and friends. His warmth, laughter, and positive spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of joy and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Frank's life at Saint John the Evangelist on Saturday, December 6, 2025, starting at 9 AM to greet his family. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 AM. Due to his wishes, interment will be private.
In the hearts of those who knew him, Frank will remain a guiding light and a cherished memory.
