It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francis S. Jara "Frank", a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who left us on March 31, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on October 28, 1942, in East Falls, Frank lived a life rich with love, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to his community.
As a proud 1960 graduate of Roman Catholic High School, Frank carried the values instilled in him throughout his life. He was not only a dedicated owner of a printing company but also an active community member known for his spirit of service. Frank found great joy in coaching local youth athletics, sharing his passion for sports with generations of young athletes.
Family meant everything to Frank. He is survived by his beloved children, Ellen Tizio (Steven), Linda Jara, Maggie Heyer (Joe), and Michael Jara (Elizabeth Fleming); and his treasured grandchildren, Jackie, Brendan, Nicholas, Grace, Jack, James, Everett and Easton. He shared many happy years with his late wife, Margaret Jara, who was his lifelong companion and confidante. Frank is also survived by his brother, Al Jara (Mary Kay); and his sister, Felicia Teske (late Paul), who will carry on his legacy of love. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Jessie Jara.
Visitation will be on April 10, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, allowing friends and family to pay their respects and celebrate Frank's remarkable life. A Mass will take place at 11:00 AM. Interment is Private.
In honoring his memory, we invite all those whose lives he touched to join us in celebrating the remarkable man Frank was.
