Francine D'Amore

Francine "Fran" D'Amore, November 20, 2022, Age 76. Daughter of the late Marion and Lorenzo D'Amore, original owners of Fiore's Restaurant in South Philadelphia on Passyunk Ave. Beloved sister of Benedette D'Amore and Godmother to Christine Hammaker and Kaden Dougherty. A native of Philadelphia, she graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School and Chestnut Hill College with B.A. Upon graduation from college she went on to receive a Masters of Science in Health Administration (M.S.) from St. Joseph's University. She worked for the government for a while but spent her life in healthcare professions. She was an Administrator for Neurosurgery at Jefferson Hospital, Gastro-Enterology at Graduate Hospital and Orthopedic Surgery at Einstein Healthcare. She was known for her competence and ran these practices with knowledge, professionalism, and respect. it is a tribute to her that those employees who worked for her and with her still remained in touch with her and always wanted her to return. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor which brightened many a day for those in her personal and professional life. Bringing laughter to those in need was her strong suit. Few people could fill her shoes in how much she cared for others and what she brought into their lives. There was only one of her. She will be missed!

Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing on Friday, November 25 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Road, Philadelphia. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield.
