Elizabeth "Betty" Waldron (nee Tobin), of Blue Bell, PA passed away on May 9, 2022 at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late John R. Waldron. Mother of Dr. John R. Waldron (Kathleen), Maureen Waldron, and the late Sister Elizabeth Ann Waldron SSJ, Patricia Waldron, and Colleen Waldron. Grandmother of Colleen Ronkowski (Frayne), Sean Waldron (Christine), Patrick Waldron (Christine). Great Grandmother of Brayden, Katie, and Maggie Ronkowski, Seamus, Emmie, Keeley, and Allie Waldron.
Betty was predeceased by her brothers: John, Thomas "Len", Eugene, and Joseph Tobin.
Betty was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late John A. Tobin and Mary B. Murphy. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls Class of 1943.
Betty and her husband, Bob, after moving from the Overbrook section of Philadelphia to Plymouth Meeting, were founding members of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She was very active as a Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, and founded the CYO program. She also volunteered for many years at St. Joseph's Villa in Flourtown. She loved to travel and made many trips to Ireland with friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Monday, May 16, beginning at 10 AM at St. Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. A Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
