Affectionately referred to as their "Baci", she is survived by her grandchildren Kelly Krall (Stephen), Steven Kaminski, and Dennis Koenig (Laura), along with seven great-grandchildren Noah, Aaron, Matthew, Luke, Nathan, Kyle and Katie.
She was the oldest of her siblings, survived only by her brother, Ed Skoczen (Joan). She is predeceased by brothers Michael, John, Francis, and sisters, Theresa Guzik and Mary Lou Cannon.
"Nan" will be remembered fondly by all of her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Born on January 24, 1928 she lived a full life in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, PA. Devout, not only in her faith, but also extremely proud of her Polish heritage, she was quick to the dance floor for a Polka. Many passions filled her heart, but most near and dear to her were making her famous kielbasa and sauerkraut, baked wafflettes, and chruscikis, all the while listening and singing along to Frank Sinatra and Bobby Vinton.
Eleanor was filled with life, love and now, peace.
Relatives and friends are invited to Eleanor's Celebration of Life on Wednesday, September 4th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Josaphat Roman Catholic Church, 124 Cotton St, Philadelphia, PA 19127, immediately followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Westminster Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
