Dolores D. Gallagher

Dolores Gallagher passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, after 64 years of wedded bliss married to her beloved husband, Frank Gallagher. She was predeceased by her parents Vicky and Joseph Sobetsky, and her sister Lorraine Donohue.

Dolores graduated Roxborough High School in the Class of 1949, and enjoyed a successful career at the Pennsylvania Railroad. She met the love of her life, Frank, at the Railroad. Most Mondays while dating, they attended the Novena of the Miraculous Medal at the Shrine in Germantown. They married in 1961 at Saint John the Baptist in Manayunk. Dolores and Frank raised two children, Diann (James) and Mark (Kim), and have 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. After 18 years in Roxborough, they moved to Blue Bell, where they happily lived for 46 years. Dolores was very active at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, helping with flowers and altar linens. In May 1988, Dolores and Frank went on Pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Dolores, as well as Frank, deeply love the Catholic Faith, and are profoundly devoted to the Blessed Mother, Divine Mercy, the Rosary, and the Blessed Sacrament, spending one hour each week for over 17 years in Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Epiphany's Chapel.

Dolores loved her family, friends, and her home, but especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who called her Mom-Mom. Dolores was thoughtful and meticulous, devoting hours to getting just the right holiday card or birthday gift, and making sure everyone had their favorite foods in the cupboard. Dolores was such a significant part of her grandchildren's lives as they grew up, routinely attending their many events, arriving early to get a prime seat. Dolores, Mom, and Mom-Mom, will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA from 9:30 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass said for the repose of the soul of Dolores, or for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, at https://mymassrequest.org/request-a-mass/individual-mass. The donation for the Mass will benefit the Franciscan Capuchin missionaries around the world, especially among the poor in the most challenging circumstances.
