David E. Hunter Obituary

David E. Hunter passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 83. He was the son of the late William and Anna Hunter and the brother of W. Thomas and the late Paul D. Hunter Sr.. He is survived by nieces, nephews, and his friend Tom Gradwell. David graduated from Roxborough High School in 1960. He joined the US Air Force as a loadmaster and was involved with flights connected to the Vietnam War. He was also very active in the US Air Reserves, making frequent flights to Guam and Greenland. After he was discharged, he worked in electronics, calibrating load cells. He loved his pet dogs and would walk them in Fairmount Park across from the family home on Johnson Street. There was a time when David enjoyed playing 18 holes of golf. David would also go to the Chestnut Hill Wawa to get his coffee. David made a profession of his faith in Jesus Christ and was trusting in Him as his Lord and Saviour. His family (Tom) will miss talking with him, but we will one day meet again in Heaven.
