Dan Walls passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. He was 81 years old.
Dan graduated from West Catholic Preparatory High School in 1963, earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from La Salle University in 1967, and his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1971. Dan had a long, illustrious, career in the legal field. He was dedicated to upholding justice and mentoring new attorneys.
Dan loved music and was a long time patron of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and often took his family to see live performances. He was a voracious reader, an amateur bird watcher, and loved to travel. Dan was also an active Phillies and Eagles fan and loved nothing more than a family trip to the ball park.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, son Michael, brother David and sister Teresa Soulas. Dan is survived by his children Elizabeth and Andrew (Tameka) Walls. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth "Betty" Lennox; grandchildren David and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Viewing on Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial at 11:00 AM at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre following the service, where Dan will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife and son. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Foundation.
