Christopher Gekonge, Age 80, December 23rd 2023. Devoted husband of Truphosah "Phossie" Gekonge (nee Anyango). Dedicated and loving father of Charles Gekonge (Brigitta), Betsy Gekonge, Moraa Gekonge (John Kuya), Jeremy Gekonge, and Elsebah Gekonge. Beloved grandfather to Adele, Christopher, and Amanda Gekonge, Mokeira and Orina Gekonge, and Balozi and Khaliesa Kuya

He was son to the Late Gekonge Osano and the late Priscah Obonyo (of Kenya). Brother to William Abachi, Mary Saisi, Wilfred Matoke, the late Beatrice Mogotu, John Makana, the late Simon Gekonge, and Caren Bitutu. Brother-in-law to Paul Anyango (Joyce), the late Grace Omanga, and the late Rispah Auma. Respected uncle to many including Nancy Abachi, Nahum Mokua, Dinah Matoke, Moraa Mogoah, Evans Gekonge, Eunice Omanga, Charles Anyango , among others.

Relatives and friends are welcome to a Viewing on Wednesday January 3rd at Leverington Presbyterian Church, 6301 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128 from 10.00am - 11.00am. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11.00am - also at Leverington Church.

Christopher was a well loved husband, father, and grandfather. His generosity and kindness preceded him! He was a positive and motivating force in the many, many lives that he touched through his wise counsel, support, and encouragement. He will be very much missed by all who knew and loved him. May he Rest in Peace.
