Charles (Chalie) E. Carden, age 85, born in Philadelphia on July 2nd, 1934, to the late Charles & Caroline Carden went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2020. In 1952, he joined the Air Force where he served 4 years with an honorable discharge. When he returned home from the service, he started his career as a truck driver delivering produce until he retired in September 1992. In 1947, as a young teen, Chalie starting working at Hi Spot Bowling Alley as a pin setter. In 1970, he and a group of 40 friends purchased the bowling alley. Hi Spot became his passion, a source of entertainment and pride. After time, he and his friend, the late John Altomare were the only ones left keeping the alleys running after 48 years. In December 2018, they decided to sell the bowling alley. Chalie was a loyal friend, devoted family man, and a true patriot who will be deeply missed by many friends and family members. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn (Eld), daughter Cynthia (Francis), his six grandchildren, Amanda, Alexandra, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Charley and Jacob as well as many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his son Charles R Carden, brothers John, Donald, Joseph, Ronald and sister Carol. Services and Interment are private
