Barbara Ellen Faragalli

Peacefully and holding hands with her girls, Barbara gained her wings early morning on Monday, September 14, 2020.  

Barbara is survived by her brother Richard Brookes and her loving family she and Joseph Faragalli started together – including her daughters Ellen (and Patrick) Marsteller and Angela (and Craig) Noel; and her 5 grandchildren Craig Jr, Avé Maya, Nikolas, Meredith and Patrick Jr. 

Barbara very proudly grew up in Roxborough and graduated from Roxborough High School - Class of 1969.  After attending beauty school on a full scholarship and doing hair for many years, Barbara worked as a Human Resources Specialist for the Navy's Department of Defense in Philadelphia for 30 years.  She loved working for the Navy and was always Navy proud!  Both of Barbara's parents were Navy veterans and her middle grandson is currently a Sailor. 

Barbara loved having a front row seat as her girls pursued their dreams and started their families.  She loved watching the grandkids play their sports and do their thing.  Every holiday required a family dinner with everyone together, she loved having everyone under the same roof.  The more place settings at the table, the better.  She would cook the best feast and has passed down her recipes to her girls to continue to keep the tables full.  

Barbara loved marathon shopping trips, Penn State, winning big on the slot machines, Dunkin Donuts iced tea, trashy tv, Mickey Mouse, trips to Connecticut to visit her brother and his family, and Friday Night Pizza night.  Most importantly Barbara loved her family and friends.  There was no obstacle too big for her to move when it came to those she loved.  

Barbara was feisty and sassy and always ready with a quick laugh; and her laugh was contagious.  Most admirably, Barbara was a warrior!  She courageously fought her health battles with a smile on her face and a joke or a prank ready to make you laugh so that you wouldn't worry about what she was going through.  Barbara's determination and loving spirit will always live on in her girls and future generations on her family tree.  

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on September 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is private.
