With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ann T. Mower, who departed this life on November 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on February 21, 1945, in Philadelphia, Ann spent her life devoted to her family and her community. A proud graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1963, she embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with a passion that warmed the hearts of all who knew her.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Mower, Jr., and the devoted mother of Thomas A. (Jennie), William (Casey), Ann Heffron, Maureen Kwartnik (Daniel), and Mary Mower (Courtney). She cherished her role as Nana to her grandchildren-Katherine Aiello-Mower, Thomas J., III, Timothy, Madeline, John, Shane, and Luke Mower, Ryan and Michael Heffron, and Cara Kwartnik-who held a special place in her heart. Ann is also survived by her loving sister Mary Trimber (Milton), her sister in law Mary Brignola, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will deeply miss her. She is preceded in death by her father James Curtin and mother Mary Curtin, her brothers James (Katherine) and John (Kay), her brothers in law John and Robert and her sister in law Patricia Goodavage.
For nearly six decades, Ann called Roxborough home, embracing her role as a faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. She was known for her unwavering commitment to her family and her community, playing an instrumental role in the efforts to keep Roman Catholic High School open in the 1980s. Ann was proud to be a founding member of the Mother's Club at the school, where her dedication left a lasting impact.
In celebration of her life, we invite you to join us in honoring Ann's memory. A public viewing will take place at Koller Funeral Home on Friday evening, November 28, 2025, from 6-8 PM. The following day, a public viewing will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church from 9:30 AM, leading up to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
Ann's warmth, kindness, and incredible spirit will live on in the hearts of all she touched. Rest in peace, Ann. You will be forever loved and missed.
