Amber Lynn Crossen passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, loved and in comfort. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Amber grew up in the Refton area and went to the Lampeter- Strasburg high school.

Amber carried with her a vibrant light that touched everyone she met-family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers. Her energy, creativity, and compassion were impossible to miss.

In her early years, Amber worked as a skilled picture framer and abstract airbrush artist, expressing her talent for design in many forms. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in textile design from the Philadelphia University which led her to work in New York City's fashion industry, and then in upholstery design in Doylestown, PA.

Later in life, Amber followed her desire to help others, returning to school to become a respiratory therapist. She served the patients at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with care, dedication, and empathy for 13 years.

Amber was preceded in death by her mother, Vicki Sue Crossen. She is survived by her father, Gene Crossen; her brother, John Crossen; and a circle of friends, colleagues, former patients, and animal rescues whose lives she touched deeply.

Her warmth and kindness will always be remembered. She wanted to be remembered smiling.

In lieu of flowers, Amber asked that donations be made to PAWS.org to support animal rescues and help pets find loving, forever homes.
