Alfred W. Mothes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred W. Mothes, who departed this life on October 14, 2025, at the age of 78.

Alfred was a dedicated worker, contributing over 20 years of service at Acme, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to those around him. He was more than just a colleague; he was a friend to many and a gentle spirit who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Alfred had an easygoing nature and a genuine interest in people, making him someone with whom anyone could strike up a conversation. His kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on the hearts of family, friends, and acquaintances alike.

Alfred was the beloved brother of Elaine Vittelli, Marie Boccella, Gerry Faino, Catherine Mattei (the late Joe), and Nancy Myers. He is survived by a host of adoring nieces and nephews, especially his dear niece Shawn Maguire and nephew Brandon Maguire (Pavider). Alfred cherished the time spent with family, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching television and movies, and sharing stories with those he loved. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gertrude Mothes, his sister, Betty Mothes, and his dear brother in law Joe Mattei.

As we remember Alfred, let us hold onto his legacy of kindness, laughter, and care for one another. He may no longer walk among us, but the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Alfred. You will be missed more than words can say.
