Walter Crossmore Davies Sr. age 88, resident of Roxborough, PA died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, January 10th. He spent many years working in a steel factory and as a master carpenter into his early 70s. His hard work and creativity is etched into his family home. Walter met his wife at the young age of 18. Over the next 67 years they created the perfect love story together, raising a family of 4 and creating countless memories together as a family. Walter loved everything about the ocean. His passion was sailing through the waters on his sailboat, the "Mary Catherine". He was always fascinated with the sea and enjoyed snorkeling, diving and exploring its beauty. He spent some of the best days of his life surrounded by family on the beaches of Long Beach Island, New Jersey. You could always look out into the ocean and count on seeing him floating along or riding the waves onto the beach. Walter is survived by his wife, Mary (Popowicz) Davies, his son: Walter (Buzz) Davies Jr. (Margie) his two daughters: Cynthia Cryder (Brooks) and Debra Davies along with his daughter in law Kimberly Davies. He was predeceased by his son Mark Davies. He was the loving grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 9. Per Walter's wishes there will not be services. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father and Pop-Pop and will be greatly missed.
