Obituary

Theodore J. Segletes Jr., Age 74, of Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, April 28th. He was the beloved husband of 53 years of Patricia K. (nee Wood). He was the son of the late Theodore and Stella Segletes. Father of Frances Hicks, Patricia (James) Vercio and Theodore (Joanne) Segletes III. He is also survived by his sisters, Dolores (William) McCarrick, Deborah (Barry) Cupchak. Also the brother of the late Barbara (Andy) Toth.  The grandfather of Thomas, Lindsey, Paige, Theodore and Daniel; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ted served in the United States Navy from high school through the beginning of the Vietnam War, where he rose to the rank of MA2 and fell in love with his soulmate and wife Pat. He worked for General Electric in the Missile and Space Division. He worked at Chilton Publishing Company as a computer operator, while earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business.  He retired from PNC National Bank, as Vice President of Computer Operations. Following, Ted went to work for the United States Postal Service where he retired at the age of 62.

Ted was Holy Family's Parrish first Eagle Scout. He was also was very involved with the 21st Ward and Indians Athletic Association for many years. He loved golfing, fresh water/deep sea fishing, and traveling in his free time and after retirement.

Two of Ted's favorite charities close to his heart were The Heart of the Nation Catholic Mass on TV and St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital, who is leading the way as the world understands, providing treatment and defeating childhood cancer, as well as other life threatening diseases.
