Rodger J. Devlin, 89, of Roxborough died August 6, 2016. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Cor Mariae Council 4100 and the oldest surviving member of Operating Engineers Local 542. Mr. Devlin was active in Republican politics in the 21st Ward and a World War II Army Veteran who served in the Philippines.  He and his wife, Marguerite were founding members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where Rodger helped build the church and start a credit union.  Mr. Devlin was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 542 Union Pension Board. He is the husband of the late Marguerite (nee Trainor); father of Meg Evangelist (Kenneth), Rodger T. Devlin (Susan), Eileen Rosati (Albert) and Kevin Devlin; also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother of James Devlin.  Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing Wednesday, August 10th from 9 A.M to 10:30 A.M at KOLLER FUNERAL HOME , 6835 Ridge Avenue (corner of Livezey); Funeral Mass 11 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Phila., PA 19128.  Interment Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Rodger's memory to Father Martin's Ashley Treatment Center Scholarship Fund, 800 Tydings Lane, Havre De Grace, MD 21078.  Condolences may be shared at www.kollerfuneralhome.com.
