Robert A. Hill, March 9, 2015, age 78, formerly of Manayunk, at his home in Ulysses, PA, surrounded by the love of his wife Josephine (nee Pizzillo) and his children. He was the son of the late John and Mary (nee Cappiella) Hill; father of Robert A. Hill Jr. (Barbara Westerfer), John, Kenneth and Eric Hill, Joann Condrone (Joseph), Natalie Hill (Sal), Mary Rose Longacre (Michael), brother of Nancy DiGiovan (the late Louis) and the late Helen Bari (the late Michael) and Jacqueline Vanelli (Joseph); brother-in-law of Robert Pizzillo (Frances Kling); grandfather of Lauren (Hall), Adrienne, Christopher, Kelly Condrone, Michael, Nicholas, Tyler Longacre, Jessica Hill and Christopher J. and Sean Deutch, along with many nieces and nephews.

Robert attended St. John's grade school and Boys High.  He worked at Connelly Container for 44 years, ultimately as a supervisor.  Bob was a member of Connelly's baseball team, a volunteet for Wissahickon Ambulance, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, Lance Corporal, certified as a Class A sniper.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved hunting and fishing with his chirldren.  He retired in Potter County, the place he loved most.  His biggest joy was teaching his children nature, gardening, and landscaping.  He enjoyed all sports, his many dogs, and was a humorous practical joker.  Relatives and friends are invited to KOLLER FUNERAL HOME, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Phila., PA  19128 for the Viewings Friday evening, March 13, 2015, from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.and Viewing Saturday from 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass Saturday 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church.  Interment Westminster Cemetery.  Condolences may be shared at www.kollerfuneralhome.com.
