Richard L. Deacon passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on August 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard is survived by his loving daughters Bridget Deacon and Kaitlin Miller; sister Loretta (Dickie) Cobbs; brother Gerard J. (Debra) Deacon; brother-in-law John Lemon; cherished grandchildren, Addison, Declan, and Donovan; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth M. Deacon (nee Staunton); father William P. Deacon; sister, Judith Lemon (nee Deacon); brother, Scott Deacon; and sister-in-law Virginia Deacon. Relatives and friends are invited to greet Rich's family on Friday, August 25, beginning at 10 AM at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM. Interment is private. Rich benefited greatly from the care at Penn Medicine. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rich to the Penn Pancreatic Cancer Research Center Fund would be appreciated.
