Randolph Bradley Baker (Randy) was born February 4, 1943 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. He accepted the Lord when he was eight years old. This relationship would guide him through life. He enjoyed sports and participated in the ROTC for many years. He entered urban ministry in Chicago after graduating from Wheaton College. During the Civil Rights Movement, he would drive his youth group around the country to participate in the marches. His heart ached for the marginalized. He worked with a youth ministry after college, and built a roller skating rink. He married his wife, Sue, in 1966. Together they worked with youth, building a youth center and a camp in Michigan, Camp Baker.

He and his wife had four children, Tammy, Derek, Curtis and Tanya. Randy taught his children to depend on the Lord in all things. He showed through example how to serve the Lord with gladness, and to love and forgive people.

In 1973, he met Dr. Manny Ortiz and partnered with him to plant a church. They helped plant 5 churches and two schools. This partnership would last for the rest of their lives. In 1987 Manny and his family and Randy and his family moved to Philadelphia and planted a church. Then they assisted in planting 7 more churches and a school. Randy had a servant heart and he understood that a life spent serving the Lord was a blessed life. He served in his different jobs, whether social work agencies, Center for Urban Theological Studies, Whosoever Gospel and even at Ayuda Community Center and Hunting Park Christian Academy for a time.

He always served the people of the church, and preferred no acknowledgment or praise, always
believing his reward was given by God. He would want to give glory to the Lord for any and all of his accomplishments, because he knew that though he could do all things through Christ, he could do nothing without Him. He went home to be with his Savior on October 5, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue, his four children, Tammy, Derek, Curtis, and Tanya, their spouses, Phil, Lisa and Jose, and his 6 grandchildren Kyle, Kaitlyn, Kathryn, Jasir, PJ, and Jaclyn.

Relatives and friends are invited to Spirit and Truth Fellowship, 4400 North 6th Street, Phila., PA  19140 for Visitation Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2 PM followed by Funeral Service at 2:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randolph's name to Spirit and Truth Fellowship.  Condolences may be shared at www.kollerfuneralhome.com
