Philip Joseph Maher, III passed away after a short illness at the age of 82, on August 18, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip Joseph Maher II and Rita (Hass) Maher. He is survived by his wife, Ulana (Lewycka) and his children Nina (Michael) and Stephan (Susan) as well as his grandchildren, Lauren and Sarah. He is also survived by his sister, Lucy Woeltje,   brother, Fred Maher and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was born on October 5th, 1938, in Philadelphia.  Joe graduated from Roman Catholic High School and Temple University.  Soon after graduating high school, he met his wife of 60 years, Ulana.  Joe and Lana were married on April 22, 1961. Joe had a long career as a Systems Administrator, retiring from Lower Merion Township in 2003.

Joe's whole life was centered around family, friends, and faith. One of his biggest joys was building a home in Lehighton, PA where he enjoyed many weekends and family vacations. Joe will always be remembered by his humor, love, and his dedication to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Friday, 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Road, Phila. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM. Interment in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
