Obituary

Patricia Kay Segletes (nee Wood), of Philadelphia, formerly of Watertown, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, July 11th. She was the beloved wife of 55 years of the late Theodore J., Jr. She was the mother of Frances Hicks, Patricia (James) Vercio and Theodore (JoAnne) Segletes III. She is also survived by her siblings, Leone (Donald) Kasten, Constance (Robert) Oestreicher, Shaaron Wood, and Michael (Mary) Wood. The grandmother of Thomas, Lindsey, Paige, Theodore and Daniel; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Frances Wood and her brother Robert Wood.

Pat served in the United States Navy after high school through the beginning of the Vietnam War, where she received the National Defense Service Medal. While in the Navy she also fell in love and married her soulmate Ted. She was the hairdresser at Inglis House, home for those with disabilities, for 20 years before changing careers and went to work for the United States Postal Service where she retired at the age of 69.

She became a caregiver for many of those who she came in contact with while at Inglis House. Pat also loved to sew and during the COVID pandemic she made hundreds of masks to help protect those she loved and cared for. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveled home and throughout the United States in her free time and after retirement.

Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing on Monday, July 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia and on Tuesday, July 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Road, Philadelphia. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is private.
